Prime Minister Narendra Modi set off Monday on a six-day trip to Indonesia,Australia,and New Zealand. Aim: strengthen India's strategic ties in Indo-Pacific. Part of bigger push to bolster India's Act East Policy and MAHASAGAR vision,underscoring commitment to free, inclusive Indo-Pacific.
Before leaving, Modi stressed importance of this trip. He remembered 2018 visit to Indonesia, calling it turning point for bilateral ties. Back then,India and Indonesia upgraded to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. He's hopeful upcoming talks will review progress and open new doors for cooperation in different sectors.
