Central University of Andhra Pradesh (CUAP) in Ananthapuramu will hold its first convocation July 1. President of India, Droupadi Murmu, will be chief guest . A milestone for CUAP. 1,268 students from classes of 2020 to 2026 will get degrees.
Among them,480 undergraduates,788 postgraduates from 23 states across India. Ceremony also includes 56 university gold medals, eight endowment gold medals for top students from 11 states.
CUAP, established in 2018 and officially recognized in 2019,is one of fastest-growing central universities in India. Started with fewer than 100 students. Now offers nine undergraduate,18 postgraduate,six Ph.D.,and 15 diploma courses . Total enrollment over 1,470 students from 26 states .
Permanent campus at Janthaluru features modern facilities, backed by central government support under Phase-I infrastructure initiatives . Includes advanced academic buildings, smart classrooms,labs,hostels, a digital library, NextGen Data Centre, and Media Studio .
Under National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, CUAP has launched new academic programs,set up research and innovation centers, and expanded national collaborations through various MOUs. Vice-Chancellor S.A . Kori called the convocation a key moment in CUAP's growth, stressing commitment to academic excellence and role in inclusive growth and nation-building.
