PUNE — Schmersal Group just ramped up its India game with fresh Global Competence Center at its 25,000 sq. ft. site in AP4 Tech Park,Wagholi,Pune. This isn't just any expansion . It's a big step in the firm's long-term India strategy,syncing well with 'Make in India' push by government.
Core of this expansion? Six new industrial safety products,all developed and made in India. We're talking a Safety Field Box Port Extender, Magnetic Switch for elevators, an infrared Fork Sensor for quick object detection,a new Safety Limit Switch Series,an Overspeed Governor Limit Switch for elevators,and a Multi-level Parking Control System for automated parking. Each product tailored to meet demands of manufacturing, automotive,logistics, infrastructure sectors.
At the opening, Managing Director Ramji Singh highlighted how this new facility boosts Schmersal's growth plans. It's about enhancing engineering,automation, digital tech capabilities . "This facility will help us develop new tech and deliver better solutions for customers worldwide," Singh said.
The Global Competence Center is seen as Schmersal Group's engineering and tech hub. It will focus on product development,software engineering, IoT solutions integration, and support digital transformation. The facility will also have key IT infrastructure for global operations.
Besides this,Schmersal launched a new Product Experience Center. A space for customers and partners to interact with Schmersal's machine safety tech and consulting services nicum platform. center shows off integrated safety solutions like machine guarding, interlocking systems, access control,functional safety tech for better workplace safety and efficiency.
The opening marked 13 years of Schmersal's manufacturing in India . A milestone showing the company's commitment to local manufacturing and engineering excellence. Global leaders,including reps from Brazil, US,Germany,Italy, Switzerland and Indo-German Chamber of Commerce officials,attended.
