In recent address, a Legislative Council member claimed the Prime Minister made notable strides in governance during his tenure. Speaking to media,he emphasized strong voter confidence in ruling party,allowing Prime Minister to achieve longest service in country's history.
During briefing,he split government's achievements into four main areas. Tax revenue distribution surged 262.78% since last administration,leaping from ₹81,794 crore to ₹2,96,730 crore over decade. He also noted grants from central government to states jumped by 292%,from ₹60,779 crore before to ₹2,38,288 crore now.
The MLC highlighted Jan Dhan Yojana's success,creating bank accounts for 2.12 crore in Karnataka,boosting economy. Social security initiatives reached 4.27 crore people,with PM Jivan Jyothi and PM Suraksha Bima Yojana offering ₹2 lakh insurance against death or disability.
Infrastructure progress also significant. National highways network grew from 91,287 kilometers in 2014 to projected 1,46,145 kilometers by 2026. Operational airports increased from 74 to 157,while medical colleges more than doubled from 370 to 830. Coal block auction revenue soared from ₹25,000 crore for 200 blocks to ₹2 lakh crore for just 33 blocks.
He mentioned major milestones under Prime Minister's leadership: 8,500-acre Industrial Corridor in Tumkur,HAL-Boeing technical center in Bengaluru,successful Chandrayaan 3 mission. Revocation of Article 370,initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir also marked as key achievements.
Notable programs launched during his administration include PM Mudra Yojana,PM Kisan Samman,Jal Jivan Mission,PM SVANidhi, PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM Jan Aushadhi Kendras, Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana,and PM UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik),aiming to boost health and financial security .
Responding to questions on cross-voting in State Council elections,he urged ruling party to take firm action against members straying from discipline. Expressing dissatisfaction,he said,“We hoped cross-voting would be avoided,yet some members chose otherwise. State party must act.”
