Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath voiced confidence Friday that the probe into alleged embezzlement at Ayodhya Ram temple will uncover truth. In Ayodhya,he called for anyone with evidence to step up,warning that those guilty,no matter their status, will face consequences.
The investigation, launched by three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) on June 13 after temple trust's request, follows claims by Akhilesh Yadav,Samajwadi Party president . Yadav alleged June 7 that large amounts from temple donations were missing, leading to demands for judicial action.
Adityanath, speaking to devotees, said, "I assure you that this probe will bring absolute truth to light. There is no doubt about that." He stressed importance of avoiding baseless remarks that might offend devotees' sentiments.
At same event, Chief Minister inaugurated, laid foundation for 126 projects worth over ₹378 crore, including a Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital in Rudauli. He urged public to heed Lord Ram's teachings, especially righteousness, and be patient during investigation .
Political tensions have risen between ruling BJP and opposition over fund embezzlement claims . Adityanath slammed Samajwadi Party,Congress, saying they don't want Ayodhya to prosper due to their flaws. He accused them of past violence against devotees, blocking temple's progress.
"These are the people who fired upon devotees of Lord Ram," he said, claiming their actions hindered temple's recognition. He questioned why past administrations didn't elevate Kamakhya Dham to nagar panchayat or provide basic services to poor, citing lack of sensitivity and commitment.
Adityanath noted Ayodhya's transformation since visiting Ram Janmabhoomi. He recalled when a former Samajwadi Party member suggested legislators visit Ayodhya for worship, only for Yadav to silence him, preferring alignment with historical figures like Babar over Lord Ram.
He asserted Uttar Pradesh has moved past its BIMARU state days, emerging as a dynamic force in India's economy. Adityanath credited progress to collective efforts, trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He expressed hope for continued growth in region, especially between Saryu and Gomti rivers.
