Tamil Nadu's TVK Government Prioritizes Investment Execution
In effort to boost investment in Tamil Nadu, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) government pledged effective execution of all MoUs signed for this goal . At recent event in Coimbatore,Industries Minister S. Keerthana tackled issues with prior administration's record,which saw quarter of its MoUs left idle.
Keerthana noted under DMK rule, 25 industrial projects moved out of state. TVK aims to fix this, assessing districts' capabilities and working with local schools to train skilled workers for upcoming industries.
In her address to Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) - Southern Region,Keerthana shared vision of South India as hub for high-value industries. Government's focus: electric mobility,clean energy,AI,advanced manufacturing. She noted Tamil Nadu struggles with producing key electronics components,forcing youth to seek jobs elsewhere.
To curb talent drain, Minister stressed need for quality jobs and better infrastructure, especially roads and power. She promised transparency, saying, “We want to work (with you) as family and grow together.” TVK also plans R&D center in delta region and new industrial corridor to highlight state's strengths.
The Minister also introduced CII - Southern Region's “CII Sprint 2030” initiative,aimed at boosting MSMEs across region.
