A drone strike in Volgograd Region left one civilian dead and two injured. The attack happened late on May 28, regional Governor Andrey Bocharov reported.
The strike targeted a synthetic fiber plant in Volzhsky,killing a 60-year-old man . A 55-year-old woman is in serious condition at a local hospital. Another person suffered injuries in a residential area on Vershinina Street and received outpatient care.
Bocharov condemned the violence, calling it a "terrorist drone attack" by Ukrainian forces . He noted that debris from drone sparked fire at the chemical plant, putting nearby fuel and energy facilities at risk. Firefighters brought the blaze under control quickly.
