Kumar, a resident of Toopran in the Medak district,is currently in judicial custody as the investigation unfolds.

The case began when a Zero FIR was filed at the Jawaharnagar police station on May 28. This report was later transferred to Medchal police station,where a formal FIR was registered next day. Authorities have recorded the victim's statement and confirmed that she has undergone a medical examination . Samples collected during this examination have been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Hyderabad for further analysis.
