Aaditya Thackeray of Shiv Sena (UBT) launched a fierce attack Friday on six party MPs . Called them “shameless, ungrateful, and corrupt.” This blast hit on party's 60th foundation day,amid tensions possibly splitting the organization wide open. MPs—Sanjay Dina Patil,Sanjay Deshmukh,Sanjay Jadhav,Bhausaheb Wakchaure,Nagesh Patil-Ashtikar, and Omprakash Raje Nimbalkar—are rumored to be eyeing a move to Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's camp.
Thackeray slammed MPs for betraying party loyalty, saying they owe 2024 Lok Sabha seats to Shiv Sena. On X,he wrote, “Once again,we see filthy politics. These ungrateful individuals now betray those who helped them win.” He stressed party's torch symbol as sign of hope in what he calls “darkness.”
His words followed six MPs skipping a key parliamentary meeting in New Delhi, leading Shiv Sena (UBT) to issue show cause notices . Thackeray accused them of “selling themselves,” warning their actions won't be tolerated in Maharashtra.
Meanwhile,Sanjay Raut,Shiv Sena’s Rajya Sabha MP,said internal fights erupted among dissident MPs over ministerial positions. Claimed a deal was made,offering ₹25 crore to those not getting ministerial roles. “There are clashes in rebel group over who will become minister at Centre,” Raut said, underscoring faction's divisions.
Raut hit out at Maharashtra government for giving 'Y-plus' security to rebel MPs,calling it public re Challenged dissidents to resign,seek fresh mandate,asserting,“Police department only protects traitors. Waste of public money.”
