Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in Thrikkakara has decided there's not enough to go on in case from actor Ansiba Hassan's complaint against fellow actor Lakshmipriya and female officer . ACP's findings reached Kochi City District Police Chief Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar Wednesday . No legal action coming.
Hassan, once joint secretary of Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA), accused Lakshmipriya of lodging false report against her. She also claimed sub-inspector Reshma unlawfully detained her during probe. ACP's report came after reviewing CCTV from Thripunithura station and talking to parties involved.
ACP found Lakshmipriya's complaint stemmed from unclear message Hassan sent, which allegedly stirred trouble in Lakshmipriya's family. Report said Reshma did her job by calling Hassan for questioning, with no proof of unlawful detention.
Hassan gave her statement May 31. Police saw no need for First Information Report (FIR) on Lakshmipriya's complaint.
Hassan, angered by ACP's findings, said she'll take legal action. She felt "insulted" by Reshma's actions, especially letting Lakshmipriya and husband into her questioning. Hassan claimed she was forced to write apology to Lakshmipriya and initially denied a copy .
This follows another complaint Hassan filed against actor and AMMA executive Tini Tom,accusing him of making communal, derogatory remarks. Tuesday, she said if police don't charge Tom,she'll go to court. She worries about getting justice, given Tom's political ties…
