Angel Reese dominated with 15 points,17 rebounds — a career-high 11 offensive — leading Atlanta Dream to a 102-77 rout of Toronto Tempo Sunday . Dream's ninth win, pushing them to 9-4.
Reese's board work tallied nine double-doubles this season,59 for her career — a new WNBA record for most through 76 games. Picked up from Chicago April 6 for two first-rounders,Reese shows why she's a rebounding force,grabbing 17 boards in three of last four games.
Allisha Gray stood out too,scoring 26 with seven assists. Nailed five threes, passing Angel McCoughtry for third in franchise threes at 235. Rhyne Howard added 24 points,three blocks. Rookie Isobel Borlase hit career-high 17 on 5-of-6 shooting.
Early trouble for Dream,shooting just 6 of 25 (24%) in first quarter,letting Toronto lead by 12. But Atlanta stormed back in second,outscoring Tempo 34-14. They shot 64% then,made all four threes,handed out nine assists.
Toronto's Isabelle Harrison got 17 points but was tossed in third after flagrant 2 foul on Reese. Julie Allemand had 13 points,six assists,two steals,two blocks for Tempo,now 7-7. Nyara Sabally missed second straight game,hamstring issue .
