Police in Basar nabbed three linked to a temple theft from June 22, recovering about 1.48 kg of silver ornaments and ₹16,000 cash. Valuables were stolen from hundi of a sub-temple at Gnana Saraswati temple,sparking concern in local community.
Thursday,a big break at Basar railway station — two main suspects and an accomplice arrested. Suspects: Pallapu Yedukondalu from Guntur,G . Kiran aka Ramakrishna from Nizamabad, and K . Anand from Maharashtra, believed to have received stolen goods.
Yedukondalu and Kiran have pasts. Implicated in other thefts,property crimes. Basar police's quick action recovered stolen items,restored some security in temple town . But questions linger…
