Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) has mobilized engineering,sanitation teams across zones to tackle waterlogging as monsoon progresses. Teams are positioned at vulnerable spots,especially in Kukatpally,Quthbullapur,Serilingampally, to respond swiftly to flooding,overflowing drains,felled trees.
On June 9,region saw heavy waterlogging,causing severe traffic jams on major roads during first monsoon spell. This drew response from Telangana's Chief Minister,Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister,A. Revanth Reddy. He voiced frustration over disruptions faced by residents. Various agencies,including Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA),Traffic Police,were instructed to maintain visible ground presence .
For better coordination during emergencies,CMC shared contact numbers of field officers for each zone. Aim is to ensure prompt response to issues. CMC’s proactive steps show commitment to tackling monsoon challenges,minimizing daily life impact in Cyberabad.
