Guntur District Collector C.M. Sai Kanth Varma urged scientists Friday to focus research on boosting agriculture profitability during 63rd Foundation Day of Acharya N.G . Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU). He stressed university's key role in national food security,especially with paddy advancements .
At Lam event,Varma called for practical innovations. Small changes that make big impact in farming. He underscored need for value addition to agri products,helping farmers earn more from harvests . "Focus on practical innovations to boost farmers’ incomes," he said.
With lifestyle diseases rising,Varma emphasized researching healthy food systems. He pushed for eco-friendly farming,reducing harmful chemicals . Rising temps and climate change pose challenges,he noted,urging scientists to find solutions for extreme weather . District administration backs these efforts,he assured.
