Kenneth Fok Kai-kong,a Hong Kong lawmaker for sports sector,stressed need for fair access to artificial intelligence (AI) in sports. At a World Economic Forum panel in Dalian,China,Tuesday,he said instead of limiting AI,use should be broadened so all athletes can benefit. Disparities could skew competition .
Fok said AI's impact on sports isn't like previous tech leaps . It's different. Some countries might miss out on latest tools,leading to unfair advantages. “It’s not like wearing a suit or not wearing a suit. You can’t see it in competition,” he noted,pointing to difficulty of regulating AI in sports.
