Karo Sambhav, startup from Gurugram,snagged ₹56 crore in Pre-Series A funding round led by Rainmatter,Zerodha's venture. This cash boost targets beefing up recycling infrastructure,boosting recovery of key materials from electronic waste.
Launched in 2017 by Pranshu Singhal, Karo Sambhav ran without outside funding nearly nine years . company runs two recycling facilities,has collection channels in 50+ cities across India. So far,it has enabled responsible recycling of over 150,000 metric tonnes of waste.
New funding will mainly target high-grade recycling infrastructure, especially for e-waste,which holds valuable metals and components. This move should ramp up startup's ability to tackle rising challenges of electronic waste management .
