First phase of PM MITRA Textile Park near Kalaburagi,Karnataka is gearing up to take shape. Infrastructure blueprint,administrative framework are now set . Groundwork for this project expected soon,Information Technology,Biotechnology and e-Governance Minister Priyank Kharge confirmed during a review meeting on June 11 in Bengaluru.
Spanning over 1,000 acres,textile park aims to be industrial hub for Kalyana Karnataka region. Kharge said project will feature top-tier infrastructure under a ‘plug-and-play’ model,letting investors start production fast. Initial phase includes civil,land development,construction of internal roads,modern RCC drainage network for stormwater.
Park will also have underground high-tension,low-tension power lines,plus energy-efficient solar street lighting. A detailed water management system planned,with a Ground Level Service Reservoir (GLSR) for 500,000 liters of drinking water and a 1,000,000-liter Elevated Level Service Reservoir (ELSR) for treated water.
For environmental sustainability,project will include advanced Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) treating 2.5 million liters daily. Facility to use Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) technology to cut ecological impact . Kharge told officials to maintain top quality standards and ensure timely completion of all infrastructure work.
