Qatar's World Cup dreams ended after a 3-1 loss to Bosnia and Herzegovina in Seattle. Defeat in this third group stage match means Qatar exits tournament.
Bosnia struck first,with Kerim Alajbegovic scoring in the 29th minute. Just five minutes later,disaster for Qatar — Mahmoud Abunada scored an own goal . Hassan Al-Haydos gave Qatar hope with a goal in the 42nd minute. But Ermin Mahmic dashed it with a late goal in the 80th.
Now Bosnia and Herzegovina holds third place in Group B with four points,still eyeing knockout stages. Qatar ends at bottom with one point. A bitter end to their run.
Group led by Switzerland with seven points . Canada also has four. 2026 World Cup will be hosted by Canada,Mexico,and U.S., expanding to 48 teams . A new era...but for Qatar,what next?
