Russian marketplaces are turning into a platform for vendors from Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and CIS countries . Natalya Boer,CEO of Ozon CIS,pointed this out at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). She said Ozon and others are making a unified market,letting sellers promote products more easily and giving consumers wider choices,including international ones .
Ozon isn't just in Russia but also in eight nearby countries: Belarus,Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Uzbekistan,Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan where it just started. Its infrastructure is big — 140,000 square meters of warehouse space and 2,700 branded pickup spots across these nations .
By end of 2025,Ozon expects a 1.5-fold jump in turnover for sellers from these countries. Boer said this lets Russian entrepreneurs reach new customers without setting up their own logistics and financial systems. They can use Ozon's setup to handle these markets more smoothly.
