Students unleashed creativity and tech skills at recent hackathon by Sustainable Living Lab (SL2) with Intel India. Part of Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation’s (TNSDC) Naan Mudhalvan programme to promote young talent .
One standout from Jaya Institute of Technology and Jaya Engineering College. Priyanka M. explained their AI tool: it reads,understands documents automatically. Uses optical character recognition (OCR) to extract text from scans,indexes info,allows instant searches later. Her team: Naveen Pandian N,Yuvaraj S,Priyadharshini C,Keerthana M.
Team Non Fungible Minds tackled traffic. Their AI tracks live feeds,predicts jams,adjusts signals . All on edge hardware . Keeps Chennai roads moving.
Meanwhile,Sriram Engineering College team with Bhavana Shree J. and Ganesh K . created Nalam AI. It's for healthcare,disease prediction. Analyzes health, environmental, location data to spot disease risks, possible outbreak sites . Offers symptom checking,health tips, outbreak alerts. Raises public health awareness.
