Vivo confirmed specs for its next foldable phone, Vivo X Fold 6,set to debut June 26 in China . Noteworthy for its 7,000mAh battery,company claims it'll boost endurance for travelers and power users alike.
Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao highlighted more than just performance and camera in a recent demo video. Vivo X Fold 6 will feature first fifth-gen silicon-anode battery tech,alongside third-gen semi-solid-state battery. Combo aims to enhance efficiency and battery life,with Blue Ocean battery system pushing up to 9.8 hours in demanding scenarios. That's a 30% jump in longevity.
Durability's another selling point. Rated IPX8 and IPX9,device can handle strong water pressure and extreme conditions,down to minus 20 Celsius. Foldable was even used underwater in a demo,showing its toughness .
Connectivity upgrades are central too . X Fold 6 will have Global Signal Amplification System 3.0,backed by unique 1+4 communication chipset. Includes one signal amp chip,four Wi-Fi enhancement chips,aimed at boosting reception in tough spots. Vivo showed it off during a 4,000-meter skydive,keeping a call going, proving it finds and holds network connections .
It'll feature an 8.02-inch foldable OLED inner display with brightness hitting 5,000 nits. Powered by Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset,with a triple rear camera setup—200-megapixel main,50-megapixel ultra-wide,and 50-megapixel periscope telephoto. First Vivo foldable to support telephoto extender attachment .
