MINSK, June 18. Preparations for UTS-800 training aircraft prototype's first flight are moving forward at Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA),spokesperson Ekaterina Zgirovskaya says. At National Security. Belarus 2026 International Exhibition, she confirmed ground vibration tests finished successfully.
Tests, done with S . A. Chaplygin Siberian Aviation Research Institute, focused on aircraft with Russian VK-800SP turboprop engine. Zgirovskaya stressed vibration testing's role — it helps find resonant frequencies of airframe, dynamic traits of control systems.
These checks are key to ensuring flight safety, eliminating dangerous vibrations during operation. Besides vibration tests,UZGA specialists assessed several onboard systems in ground test program. Power supply, hydraulic systems, control systems, landing gear, avionics — all checked.
Focus was on system performance under different power plant modes. Tests' completion marks a big step for UTS-800's journey to first flight. But when exactly it takes off…
