Call for youth to join fight against drug abuse rang out at Friday's event marking International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking,held at Arts College grounds. Superintendent P. Jagadeesh stressed young people's role in making India drug-free,urging them to support ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ (Drug-Free India Campaign).
Program saw district police, Department for Welfare of Differently-Abled and Senior Citizens, and Eagle Wing join forces. Jagadeesh pushed for community involvement,emphasizing need to shield youth from addiction's dangers. “We must work together to build a drug-free community,” he said.
He also advised students to chase goals with discipline,noting their achievements fulfill parents' dreams . Urged attendees to report drug trafficking Special surveillance rolling out across district to dismantle drug networks. Legal actions against offenders will be severe.
Judge Rajashekhar, District Legal Services Authority Secretary, echoed this,warning drug abuse is legal offense. Told youth to shun substances, focus on success. Severe legal consequences await those in drug activities.
