Acting on solid intel,a team led by Ratendranath Sugur,Joint Director of Agriculture Department,raided Mallapur village. They found 53.72 kg of cotton seeds valued at ₹1.02 lakh from Srinivas Narasappa Bantu. In another Shahapur city op,officials took 8.37 kg of seeds worth ₹1.67 lakh from Gurulingappa.

Raids were done with local police. Sugur urged farmers to buy seeds only from authorized dealers to avoid risks linked to illegal or substandard products. He called on public to report any suspicious seed sales to department.
