Hassan,who quit as joint secretary back in February 2026,felt relieved general body saw committee's shortcomings. “Let new leadership with actors like Kunchacko Boban,Prithviraj,Asif Ali,and Dhyan Sreenivasan take charge,” she said,stressing need for leaders who truly listen to peers.

The actress criticized outgoing committee for not addressing big gaps in financial affairs. “They couldn't present a proper statement of expenditure and revenue earnings at the general body meeting,” she alleged,slamming their lack of transparency.

Hassan also underlined need for inclusivity,especially after prominent actors Rima Kallingal,Remya Nambeesan,and Parvathy Thiruvothu resigned. They claimed leadership sided with accused in 2017 actress assault case rather than supporting survivor. She urged new committee to bring these actors back into fold.
