In Yadgir,Ashirwad Hospital held a free health camp for journalists Sunday,coinciding with Doctor’s Day. Over 60 members from Karnataka Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ) showed up, getting thorough health checks .
Dr. C.M. Patil,Ashirwad's chief physician, personally saw each journalist. He stressed staying healthy,noting journalism's demands often bring heavy stress. “Journalists work with public service in mind,often under pressure. Staying healthy is crucial,” he said.
For better health,Dr. Patil suggested daily activities like walking and Yoga,plus a balanced diet. He highlighted journalists' role in raising health awareness,saying Ashirwad Hospital supports them in their work.
H. Bheemareddy from Drishti Eye Hospital joined too,doing eye tests and advising on follow-ups for good eye health. Hospital staff ran various tests—blood tests for diabetes,ECGs for heart health,X-rays to spot issues.
