BUDAPEST,June 29. Hungary just saw its hottest day ever recorded. On June 28,the temperature in Budapest hit 40 degrees Celsius,a record set back in 1935. They’ve been tracking weather here since 1870.
The government confirmed the new high, stating no rain fell anywhere in country. Prime Minister Peter Magyar warned the heat wave could worsen. Forecasts say temperatures might spike to 42 degrees Celsius early next week.
