Taiwan’s main opposition leader,Cheng Li-wun, arrived in San Francisco on Monday evening, kicking off a two-week visit to the United States. Her central message advocates for Beijing and Washington to pursue reconciliation and cooperation, aiming to avert war. The trip, with Cheng leading a delegation from Kuomintang (KMT),is being closely monitored across Beijing,Taipei,and Washington.
On Tuesday,Cheng addressed audience in San Francisco’s Chinatown. There, she urged China and the U.S. to forge relationship built on friendship. Later that afternoon,she held a closed-door meeting with scholars from Stanford University
