Recently,Kathavachak Devkinandan Thakur voiced deep sorrow over the theft of donations from Ayodhya's Ram Temple. He claimed it distressed nearly 100 crore Hindus and Sanatan Dharma followers. Thakur repeated his call for a Sanatan Board to manage temple and religious affairs.
Thakur stressed emotional blow, saying, "If such an incident has indeed taken place, it has caused pain to nearly 100 crore Hindus and Sanatan followers." He urged patience for investigators to uncover full details. This theft raises broader concerns over temple donation management .
His comments came after Ajay Kumar of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) distanced the group from recent Ram Temple trust decisions. Thakur backed Kumar, noting VHP's role ended with construction assurance. He believes spiritual leaders should oversee religious matters,while governance stays with state .
Thakur criticized current temple management. He argued that with a respected religious leader in charge,such issues might be avoided . Donations in Lord Ram's name should aid community, especially the poor,not serve personal interests of trust members.
Pushing for a Sanatan Board,Thakur saw it as a proactive step to prevent future incidents. He invoked scriptures,saying, "Our scriptures say that whoever harms religion ultimately faces the consequences of their actions." Those behind theft will face repercussions,he asserted.
Thakur appealed to Central government, noting theft already happened but stressing need to protect remaining assets . He expressed confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Urged them to safeguard faith for future generations.
