Flight Cadet Divyanshi Singh set to make history as first woman cadet from National Defence Academy (NDA) to join Ground Duty branch of Indian Air Force (IAF). This isn't just personal triumph for her — it's a step forward for women in armed forces.
Growing up in military family, Divyanshi's childhood was filled with stories of discipline and honor, influenced by her father, an air warrior. Her journey took off when NDA opened to female candidates,letting her chase dream of serving nation. After passing entrance exam,she began tough training at NDA in Pune.
Divyanshi part of first group of five women cadets,first female entrants to NDA. After graduating in March 2025,they'll train at Air Force Academy in Dundigal before joining IAF. During training,Divyanshi shone as a leader,earning role of Cadet Quarter Master Sergeant,reflecting trust of instructors and peers.
In three years,she transformed from aspiring young woman to disciplined cadet,embracing military values of teamwork,sacrifice,commitment. As she prepares to wear officer's uniform,Divyanshi’s achievement is beacon for young girls across India,inspiring them to follow dreams in uniform.
