Big upgrade coming for revered temple in region as state authorities pour major funds into its enhancement. Social Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar spearheads effort,revealing during recent site visit that ₹10 crore will be invested to boost visitor amenities,improve roadway access.
Project ties into broader push to elevate key religious sites near Godavari River before Godavari Pushkaralu-2027 festival. Minister Kumar noted Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had already set aside resources to kickstart preparations for big event.
Altogether,₹117 crore allocated to back diverse initiatives tied to Godavari Pushkaralu within Dharmapuri Assembly Constituency. Specific projects include ₹8 crore for improving Pushkar Ghat at temple,plus infrastructure upgrades like a new road linking temple to Pashigam. And ₹20 crore set for expanding Velgatoor-Kotilingala road,with another ₹10 crore earmarked for upgrades at famed Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple in Dharmapuri.
