Concerns rise among educators in Andhra Pradesh over government's dual implementation of teacher work adjustments and Presidential Orders–2025 . Leaders of Navya Andhra Teachers Association (NTA) raised alarms Thursday, arguing timing could disrupt education sector.
NTA's State president K. Harikrishna and general secretary M. Srinivasa Rao noted current work adjustments depend on existing district, divisional lines. But as employees are allocated under Presidential Orders–2025,teacher distribution may shift, leading to surplus or shortages in districts.
They warned starting large-scale adjustments before cadre allocations finish could force teachers into multiple transfers quickly. Frequent moves could mess with teachers' lives, complicating academic plans and school operations.
NTA leaders stressed if immediate adjustments are crucial, keep them at mandal or Assembly constituency level . This would meet staffing needs while reducing risk of future unnecessary transfers.
And they warned if new adjustments come after cadre allocations,it could boost administrative burdens and spark teacher grievances. NTA urged government to finish cadre allocations first before any teacher adjustments .
In their statement,NTA called for balanced decision considering teachers' welfare, students' educational interests, administrative efficiency. How this plays out could shape state's education scene for long time…
