Anthem features Minnesota Youth Honor Choir, aiming to inspire communities nationwide to engage with youth voices . Emphasizing investing in their future.
Music video and audio recording will premiere on YouTube. A big moment for the initiative. With Artistic Director Mark Johnson at the helm, the choir's rendition serves as a heartfelt tribute to America's youth. Johnson remarked, “Watching these 91 young people become the first voices of We Are Your Children was one of most meaningful musical experiences I’ve been part of.”
Composed by retired nonprofit leader Larry Sagen,arranged by Minnesota's Jason Hansen,the anthem seeks to echo nationwide. Goal: 250+ school,community,and faith-based youth choirs performing it throughout the anniversary year . Sparking discussions about future being shaped for today’s children.
Philip Brunelle,Grammy-nominated founder of VocalEssence, reflected on music's unifying power. “One of music’s greatest gifts is its ability to bring people together.” He noted anthem gives youth a platform to express themselves, urging adults to listen closely. A 15-year-old choir member shared her thoughts: “The world is really scary place for kids today. When we recorded this song, it felt like we were singing for kids everywhere—not just ourselves.
