G. Sai Prasad,Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh,went straight to the people Monday at a Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) event in Guntur District Collectorate. Focus was on a special Revenue Clinic set up to address public complaints,especially revenue issues.
For nearly three hours,Sai Prasad worked in the S.R. Sankaran conference hall. Reviewed petitions from various counters. He talked to petitioners,got a sense of their problems,looked at recurring revenue issues . Chief Secretary also checked how officials handled public grievances,sitting with staff to explain procedures to citizens.
District Collector C.M. Sai Kanth Varma and Joint Collector Ashutosh Srivastava were with him,actively receiving petitions. Collector engaged with differently-abled individuals,assuring them,“Wherever you are,we will come there,” as he took their grievances.
District Revenue Officer Shaik Khajavali and other officials also present,helping program aimed at boosting public service delivery. Government wants to address community concerns through direct engagement and better efficiency. But how far can these efforts go…
