Cordelia Cruises will restart its sailings from Visakhapatnam on June 22, offering selection of itineraries through mid-July. The announcement was made by K. Vijay Mohan,president of the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Forum. This marks a return for the cruise line,which first operated from the port in 2022 and resumed in 2025.
Passengers can choose between a 2-night cruise from Chennai to Visakhapatnam and a 3-night journey in the opposite direction. Departures are set for every week until July 15 . Jurgen Bailom, President and CEO of Cordelia Cruises, emphasized the growing significance of Visakhapatnam as both a destination and a departure point for cruise travel. He noted,“We see strong potential for Visakhapatnam to continue growing as a gateway for cruise travel, especially for families and groups planning their next holiday together.”
The Cordelia Empress,the cruise line's flagship,spans 692 feet and boasts a gross tonnage of 48,563 tons. With 11 decks, it can accommodate up to 1,592 guests at double occupancy and 1,950 in higher sharing configurations across 796 cabins. Onboard amenities include four dining venues,nine bars and lounges,a casino, a spa,a rock climbing wall, and live entertainment.
