20-year-old man arrested for house burglary in Pahadishareef,police say. Stolen valuables worth around ₹26 lakh recovered just two days after crime reported. Suspect,Akumalla Baba Peer,known as Baba,comes from Housing Board Colony in Raviryala village,Maheshwaram mandal,Ranga Reddy district. Originally from Ayyavaripally village in YSR Kadapa district. Picked up evening of June 7.

Nenavath Mallikarjun filed complaint with Pahadishareef Police on June 5. Said he locked up and left for his native Sunnapu Thanda on June 2. Returned night of June 4 to find bedroom almirah,locker broken. Stolen: about 17 tolas of gold — chains,bangles,earrings — and silver articles like biscuits,anklets.

Police think burglar got in through ventilation. Glass panes were gone. During questioning,Baba allegedly confessed,explained his method. Roamed residential areas at night,looked for locked homes. Chose target,removed glass panes from ventilation,used screwdriver to break into almirahs.
